Privacy policy

1. Contact
[email protected]This policy explains which personal data is processed when you use this website, in line with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies to visitors from the EU/EEA, the GDPR.
2. In short
Conversions are calculated in your browser. The numbers you type are not sent to us. The site is free. It shows no advertising and uses no tracking cookies. There are no accounts, no contact forms and no comments.
3. Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. When you open a page, the server processes technical data: your IP address, the requested address, date and time, and browser and device type. This is necessary to deliver the site securely and reliably.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a stable and secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare may process data in Switzerland, the EU, the USA and other countries and relies on recognised safeguards such as the Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
4. Exchange rates
The currency converter loads current reference rates of the European Central Bank from the service api.frankfurter.dev. Only when you open a currency converter, your browser contacts that service, which therefore receives your IP address and technical browser data. No rates are requested on other pages.
5. Statistics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how many people visit which pages. It works without cookies, does not use local storage, does not build profiles and does not track you across websites.
6. Data stored in your browser
To remember your choices, the site saves your theme (light or dark), whether the sidebar is collapsed and, if you play the game, your best streak in your browser storage. This data stays on your device, is not sent to us and can be deleted any time in your browser settings.
7. Your rights
You can request access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability and object to processing where the law provides for it. Contact us by e-mail using the address above.
You may also complain to a supervisory authority. In Switzerland this is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC). If you are in the EU/EEA you can also contact the authority in your country.
8. Changes
We may update this policy, for example when we add features. The current version is always available on this page.
